GREENSBORO, N.C. — School will be back in session for several districts tomorrow, including Guilford County.

To celebrate, the City of Greensboro hosted a back-to-school bash and well over 100 people showed up to get school supplies, even free haircuts.

As summer comes to an end, the school year marks a new beginning for so many.

Including grandma and grandson duo, Tameka Beasley and Mizrahim Jackson.

"New journeys, new experiences, new teachers, this is my grandson, so he's a second grader this year so, just eager to see what he's gonna learn," Beasley said.

They came to a back-to-school bash hosted by the city.

Jackson is headed to the 2nd grade. WFMY News 2 also met Naylah, who's headed to third grade and Mekhi, who's going into fourth.
