KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police are searching for the driver responsible for an early-morning hit-and-run in the Key Coalition neighborhood.

The Kansas City Police Department was called to E 29th Street and Brooklyn Avenue around 12:20 a.m. on August 25.

Officers determined that a bicyclist riding a blue Raleigh was headed south on Brooklyn when an unknown vehicle hit them and left the scene.

The bicyclist, whose identity was not released, was not wearing a helmet and was critically injured. They have since been stabilized in the hospital, KCPD said.

An investigation is ongoing.
