BEDFORD — The City of Bedford is reminding residents to follow proper placement guidelines for trash toters to help sanitation crews work efficiently and keep streets clear.
Officials said residents should place toters out by 6 a.m. on collection days and remove them the same day after pickup. All trash must be bagged before being placed inside the containers.
For streets where parking is allowed, toters should be placed three feet out from the curb, at least three feet apart from each other, and six feet away from any parked vehicles. On streets where parking is not allowed, toters may be set directly on the curb but must still be three feet apart and six feet from mailboxes.
The city said proper placement ensures smooth and safe collection for both sanitation crews and drivers naviga
