SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Former Ivy Tech Chancellor Tia Robinson-Cooper is suing the school.

According to our reporting partners at the South Bend Tribune , she claims the school used racial and gender bias against her when she was fired back in March 2024.

Robinson-Cooper served as the chancellor of Ivy Tech’s South Bend-Elkhart campus for nearly two years.

The lawsuit claims that Robinson-Cooper had initially received high marks from superiors for her work. But between October 2023 and March 2024, the suit claims that she was told she’d accumulated several “Ethics Points in connection with her professional conduct at the college.”

A school official told The Tribune the college “does not base employment decisions on race, gender, or ethnicity or any other protected class” and that
