A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 4:37 p.m. for thunderstorms until 6:45 p.m. for Oneida County.

"A thunderstorm will track across northern Oneida County between 430 pm and 600 pm. The storm will remain north of the Thruway. Lightning, briefing downpours, small hail and gusty winds will accompany this storm. There is a chance the storm could strengthen and produce larger hail and damaging wind gusts.
