MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - An officer with the Myrtle Beach Police Department is behind bars Tuesday morning.

Jail records show the Horry County Police Department charged Aaron Allston on Monday with second-degree domestic violence.

In a statement, MBPD said it was aware of Allston‘s arrest, who has been with the department since 2018.

MBPD’s website shows that Allston specifically works in the K-9 unit.

The agency said it placed Allston on administrative leave pending the outcome of the charge.

WMBF News has requested documents related to Allston‘s arrest.

Records show a bail has not been set for Allston, and he remains booked at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
