A 42-year-old Walled Lake man was killed Sunday when he crashed his vehicle in Waterford Township, officials said.

According to Waterford Police Lt. Scott Good, it’s believed that the man, Anthony Winiarkski, was traveling at a high speed westbound on Pontiac Lake Road near Merry Street when he lost control on a section of curved roadway and hit a pole and tree. Winiarski was driving a Pontiac G6.
