A homeless man has admitted to the brutal murder of a woman who had kindly offered him shelter. Victoria Adams, 37, was discovered dead in her Hammersmith flat on February 9, after police responded to reports of an attempted break-in at her Coulter Road property.
She was found face down in a bedroom, her head covered with a black bin bag and a pillow. Ms Adams had sustained at least 10 separate injuries to the back and side of her head, inflicted by a blunt object believed to be a mallet found at the scene, stained with her blood and DNA.
Her assailant, Apapale Adoum, 39, was arrested at the scene. He had met Ms Adams just days earlier, on February 6, while living in a homeless shelter.
Despite initially welcoming him into her home, she later wrote a note asking him to leave. On Tuesday
