MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (GRAY) – DNC Chairman Ken Martin once called the DFL offices in Saint Paul his home base; this year, the former 14-year leader of the DFL brought the Democratic National Convention to his old stomping grounds for the party’s annual summer meeting.

Martin’s homecoming comes at a time some say is a reckoning for the party.

President Trump and Congressional Republicans handed the Democrats a decisive loss in November, and federal filings show that the DNC has just $14 million in the bank compared to the RNC’s $84 million.
