Forecasters have issued a flash-flood warning for northeastern San Diego County due to thunderstorms that could drop substantial rain Tuesday evening.

The warning from the National Weather Service , which includes Riverside County, noted that flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

It extends to 7:15 p.m. PDT.

At 4:11 p.m. Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that are producing heavy rain across the specified area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain already had fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible.
