The best friend of a 12-year-old boy who was set on fire in a tragic accident during the school holidays, has made an emotional pledge.

Hunter Jory, 12, was involved in a devastating incident which left him with severe burns on multiple parts of his body, after a his mum, Kim, said a child had thrown a petrol can into a small fire in a field on August 18.

The 12-year-old's mum described the terror which both her and her son faced, with her child heartbreakingly pleading with her mother to 'kill him.'

She told NeedToKnow : “It took skin and tissue on his right thigh, leg and knee. It took hair on the right side of his head, it took the back of his ear off, skin off his forehead, nose, lips, eyelids and hands from trying to take his clothes off.
