SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The 21st annual Kid'Athlon is right around the corner and is now accepting registrations.

The Kid'Athlon is a mini triathlon for kids ages 5-12. They will swim, bike, and run in age-appropriate distances. It is held on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Chesterfield Park and Family Center.

Kids will take home medals, t-shirts and other goodies. The deadline for registration is on Thursday, Sept. 4. • This year's Kid'Athlon will include: • Staggered check-in and race start times • Separate transition areas between each event • One-way bike route • One swimmer per lap lane • Larger spectator areas • Race timing by Parks staff
