CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) is extending evening hours next week for the exhibit “ Takashi Murakami: Stepping on the Tail of a Rainbow ” as it prepares for its grand finale.
The exhibition will continue to be open to the general public through Sept. 7, but will now be open until 9 p.m. from Tuesday, Sept. 2, through Friday, Sept. 5. The 9 p.m. closing time will also be in effect on the show's closing date, Sunday, Sept. 7.
“Discover an incredible exhibition of works from a Japanese artist known for his unique style that examines the cultural energies of contemporary Japan -- anime, manga and the otaku culture that grew around these popular art forms -- against the backdrop of Japanese traditions,” according to the Cleveland Museum of Art’s site .
