Hate to break it to you New Mexico, but music legend and cultural phenomenon Dolly Parton was scheduled to visit the Land of Enchantment on Thursday but had to cancel.

Parton was poised to join Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and others at the Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe to celebrate New Mexico becoming the 22nd state in the nation to offer her Imagination Library book gifting program statewide. The program mails free, age-appropriate books to enrolled children from birth to age 5.

In a video message to New Mexico, the superstar expressed regret for missing the event.
