KOUNTZE, Texas — A 26-year-old Lumberton man arrested over the weekend in Jasper County for allegedly assaulting a woman and injuring a 3-month-old child is now facing felony kidnapping and assault charges involving a different woman in August 2024.

Remington Duvall Boykin, 26, of Lumberton, is now facing three felony charges including aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault in connection with alleged domestic violence incidents that happened August 1-5, 2024. The new charges were filed in Hardin County on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025.

Boykin is still in the Jasper County Jail on a $550,000 bond, according to Sheriff Chuck Havard. Hardin County can set a bond if he is released from Jasper County.
