GILBERT, Ariz. — What's better than celebrating the release of your favorite book? The release of lots of books, of course!

Literally A Bookshop in Gilbert is hosting a Book Birthday Party on Saturday, Sep. 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to celebrate local authors who have published a book within the last year.

"I love when we get to bring authors into the store. It's always a super fun thing," Owner of Literally A Bookshop, Laura Sharp, said. "I still pinch myself all the time that I get to meet authors in real life."

This is the third year the local chapter of the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators has held a Book Birthday Bash, and the first time Literally has hosted the event.
