ASHEVILLE - The Meadows at Haw Creek — a project that would convert a 27-acre swath of land along New Haw Creek Road into 87 homes — was unanimously approved at the end of a nine hour-long city of Asheville Planning and Zoning Commission meeting Sept. 3. Some residents have expressed environmental concerns about the newly proposed bridge across the property's wetlands.
