A probe into a man's body being found in an allotment is ongoing - with the site currently cordoned off. Cleveland Police has confirmed no arrests have been made as the investigation into the unexplained death of the man enters its second day.

The grim find was made at Town Farm Allotments, off Cargo Fleet Lane, on Tuesday, September 9. A large police presence remains at the site, which has been taped off. A forensic team dressed in white hazmat suits could been seen gathering evidence on Tuesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said on Tuesday: "Officers are currently at Town Farm allotments in the Cargo Fleet Lane area after a man’s body was found earlier today. Enquiries are in their very early stages and the man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained."
