REPUBLIC, Mo. — The City of Republic Park and Recreation is starting construction on The Loop at J.R. Martin Park, a new community space, tomorrow, Wednesday, the 24th.

The project is split into two phases. Phase one includes a large open-air pavilion for farmers' markets and additional programming, a plaza space with seating, a food truck area, expanded parking and trail connections.

To ensure the safety of parkgoers, Republic Parks and Recreation says it will be fencing off the construction area starting September 24th. As a result, the tennis courts at J.R. Martin Park will be permanently closed, and parking will be limited. The lot closest to the Amp and the Veterans Memorial will be closed during construction.
