SAN DIEGO, Calif. — According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) San Diego Field Office, for the month of August 2025, nearly 10,000 pounds of illegal drugs worth $24 million were seized throughout the region.
The CBP report said more than $340,000 in unreported currency was also intercepted last month.
“These seizures highlight the vigilance and expertise of our CBP officers and canines,” said San Diego Field Office Director of Field Operations Sidney Aki. “Every day, our personnel work diligently to protect our communities from the threats posed by narcotics and other contraband. Their efforts are a testament to our mission of securing the border and facilitating lawful trade and travel.”
Of 155 reported seizers by CBP officers, four were highlighted.
