RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A Wake County teenager has filed a lawsuit against tech giants Roblox and Discord, claiming she was sexually abused through their platforms.

The lawsuit alleges that Joseph Randall, a 20-year-old from Louisiana, used Roblox and Discord to groom the teen for sexual exploitation starting when she was 13 years old.

Martin Gould, the attorney representing the teen, claims both companies failed to protect her and hundreds of other children from sexual predators.

The 109-page lawsuit filed in federal court last week outlines how Randall allegedly sent explicit photos to the teen, coerced her to reciprocate, pressured her to harm herself, and sent her child sexual abuse material.
