Run With a Heart 5K is an event put on by Sigma Phi Epsilon and Alpha Phi at Creighton University. The 5K raises money for both Greek organizations philanthropies, the Special Olympics and women's heart disease.
The run started at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning at Miller Landing Park. John Aper with the Vice President of Philanthropy for Sigma Phi Epsilon says they take pride in getting involved in the community. "It's amazing having the opportunity to be able to bring this community together," Aper said. "Local businesses restaurants and all different groups of people we have people from Creighton University students and faculty today."
