PHOENIX — Phoenix police officers are searching for a suspect after an alleged armed robbery resulted in one person being hospitalized.

The incident was reported early Friday morning in the area of 23rd Avenue and Cholla Street, near Cave Creek Park in north Phoenix. Police said the victim was taken to the hospital for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The investigation is ongoing as officers attempt to locate the suspect.
