ATLANTA — A 21-year-old was found dead on I-75 on Saturday night following a road rage shootout, Atlanta Police and Georgia State Patrol said.

On Monday morning, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified the 21-year-old as Damari Jordan.

According to GSP, it began between a sedan and a Ford truck when the sedan "made contact with the rear right side of the Ford."

Both vehicles stopped on the right shoulder, GSP said, and the driver of the sedan, Jordan, got out and began walking toward the Ford.

"Gunfire was exchanged between both drivers," a GSP statement said. The driver of the sedan then fell into a lane on the interstate, and was hit both by an unidentified vehicle (which fled the scene) and an APD patrol vehicle traveling in the lane.
