BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Good afternoon!

A line of showers is moving across central Alabama today as a cold front pushes through the region. A rumble of thunder can’t be ruled out, but most areas should just see light showers with limited rainfall totals.

Today: Skies should gradually clear later this evening as the front exits to our east.

Highs are being reached early on in this late morning to early afternoon into the upper 60s to low 70s, with temps falling as the front pushes through our area.

The Next 24 Hours: Behind the front, cooler and drier air will filter in overnight with lows near the mid-to-upper 40s by sunrise Wednesday. A few of the typically cooler valleys could dip into the upper 30s.
