SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Certain classes have been cancelled for the day at San Angelo ISD's Oakes Street campus after a fire caused severe damage to a nearby building and drew a significant response from first responders.
According to a safety update issued by SAISD, all DAEP and PAYS classes have been cancelled at the Oakes Street campus for Oct. 22 following a fire that erupted at a building across the street.
Sun Cha, SAISD's director of community relations, said classes at the West Texas Training Center are still operating as usual, while special programs staff housed at the Oakes Street campus will be working from other district campuses or the Austin Professional Learning Center for Oct. 21.
