SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —

UPDATE: Allen was found safely.

Deputies in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, are searching for a man who has been missing for more than a week.

On Thursday, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said 50-year-old William Casey Allen was last seen in the area of Moore Duncan Hwy in Spartanburg on Oct. 16. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.

Deputies described Allen as 5-foot-7 and about 250 pounds.

According to the sheriff's office, he was last seen getting into a red car with an unknown woman. He said that he was going to visit a friend and would return on Oct. 20.

Authorities said Allen has diabetes, along with other health issues and he did not bring his medication with him.
