MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man was arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly kidnapping two women and leading the Memphis Safe Task Force on a 115-mph chase in the city, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Demarious Moore, 33, was arrested and charged with two counts of kidnapping and felony evading, the U.S. Marshals said.
The agency said it all started around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, when task force members tried to pull over a car near Jackson Avenue "following multiple vehicle infractions." The driver, later identified as Moore, led law enforcement on a 20-minute high-speed chase, going as fast as 115 mph, the U.S. Marshals said.
