SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. - A free program aimed at saving teen lives on the road is in Spartanburg County this weekend.

The non-profit "Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe,” also known as B.R.A.K.E.S., is in Spartanburg for the first time with the goal of getting teens ready to drive.

"We're a nonprofit charity that was started by a professional drag racer who lost both his boys in a horrible car crash. After that incident, Doug wanted to provide some extra training to young teen drivers who have got to a point where they've got their permit or their driver's license," said Matt Reilly, Senior Instructor for B.R.A.K.E.S..

The organization set up multiple driving obstacle courses at Spartanburg Community College's Duncan campus, providing teens with hands-on training in real-world scen
