PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - Officers responded to two different illegal street takeover events in Portland over the weekend, resulting in an arrest and citation, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
The first street takeover event happened Friday evening in the 15000 block of North Columbia Boulevard. PPB said officers arrived to the scene and saw about 10 cars taking part in the event.
Most of the drivers dispersed when officers intervened but one driver, 30-year-old Daniel Miahalut, of Portland, was detained and cited for reckless driving and unlawful street takeover, according to PPB. His car was towed.
