The suspect police said was involved in a multi-agency chase that left an officer injured is facing charges from multiple city and county agencies.
On Oct. 4, police said Zachery Malone, 27, of Florence, led deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office on a chase that continued into Rainbow City police jurisdiction. A Rainbow City officer was injured while attempting to deploy spike strips to stop Malone.

The Rainbow City Police Department said Malone is facing assault, attempting to elude, reckless endangerment and DUI involving a controlled substance charges. He is being held in the St. Clair County Jail on a $90,000 bond.
