UK-based Eastern Airways has halted operations and cancelled all flights.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has advised customers of the regional airline not to travel to the airport as no flights will be operating.

The airline, which offered services from various UK airports, flew to destinations such as Aberdeen , Wick, Humberside, London Gatwick, Newquay, and Teesside International, as per its website.

Passengers are being encouraged to arrange alternative travel through other airlines, rail or coach operators.

Eastern Airways (UK) Ltd filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator at the Insolvency and Companies Court, part of the High Court, on Monday morning.
