The astounding bravery of a train staff member who was injured while saving others during Saturday's mass train stabbing has been named. In a tribute on Tuesday (November 4), London North Eastern Railway (LNER) paid tribute to its "incredibly brave" staff member Samir Zitouni.
Samir, who is 48 and known to many as Sam, remains in hospital. Eyewitnesses have praised his courageous actions, and the British Transport Police (BTP) described his response as "nothing short of heroic," crediting him with saving multiple lives.
