CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) - West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey unveiled more details Wednesday afternoon on a new plan to transform rural health care in the Mountain State.
According to Morrisey, the state's application for the Rural Health Transformation Program has just been filed, and he says that it "represents an exciting new chapter for West Virginia."
Morrisey spoke on his four-pillar plan announced in the spring to help make the state healthier and how elements, such as the Mountaineer Mile, have gained traction across the state.
The governor says the Rural Health Transformation Program is another step toward making a healthier West Virginia by engaging in innovative change in healthcare and "changing the health narrative."
