KINGWOOD, W.Va. (WBOY) — With no state or federal response to the Preston County Commission's plea for assistance with its current EMS funding crisis, alternative options are dwindling as fast as its money.
During Wednesday's meeting, the Preston County Commission approved $11,000 for Terra Alta EMS' payroll, which will be processed Thursday morning, and $19,500 for KAMP EMS' payroll and insurance costs.
The commission made budget revisions a few weeks before to help allocate resources to its four EMS agencies during the government shutdown. Funding approved on Wednesday came from the commission's general contributions.
