Two men are facing more than 80 charges after a week-long crime spree involving stolen firearms and a high-speed chase across central Alberta last month that needed support from several Alberta RCMP support units.

On Oct. 19, Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station in Caroline where one of the two suspects fired two shots at an employee, said police in a Thursday news release.

Police said nobody was injured in the incident and the suspects fled before police arrived.

Two days later, Sylvan Lake RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious man in Eckville.

When police arrived, it was determined that the man was in possession of a stolen vehicle. Officers attempted to arrest the man but the suspect resisted, tried to disarm the officer and
