MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man was seriously injured after a shooting in Hickory Hill on Wednesday evening, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) said.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 3400 block of Wild Rye Lane around 6:43 p.m.
When officers arrived, they applied a tourniquet to the victim. A witness told police he saw a man firing shots at Knight Arnold Road and Ridgeway Road.
According to MPD, a potential suspect was detained. The victim told police two men may live in West Memphis, Arkansas.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
