KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Temperatures are expected to get colder on at the beginning of next week, with the temperature drop bringing the chance of snow for some areas at the highest elevations in East Tennessee.

Storm Team 6's forecast for early next week is expecting the chance for snow overnight Sunday into Monday, which has a high of 39 degrees. On Monday, lows in the valley will stay in the upper 20s to 30 degrees, but higher elevations along the Cumberland Plateau and into the Smoky Mountains could get colder. Storm Team 6's forecasted low for Mount LeConte on Monday is 14 degrees.
