City gives 5-year progress update on GSO2040 Plan

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The city of Greensboro provided an update on its progress implementing the GSO2040 Plan on Friday.

Here's how they're doing:

The Road to 10,000

The project is well underway with over 2,500 homes under construction and completed

It's goal is to give access to diverse housing options for residents at all income levels

Creating safer roads

Completed two projects through the Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan,

Created two new cross-town bus lines and a new transit plan

Adding new bike lanes

Completing Downtown Greenway

Job opportunities

Created over 22,500 new jobs in advanced manufacturing, aviation and life sciences

Randleman Road Phase 2 Corridor Plan To-Dos

Increased traffic stops

Improved code and zoning enforcement

Installing and repairing street light
