BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) - Animal Charity of Ohio is hosting two events where those at the agency say you could meet your best friend.

First is the Cornerstone Caregiving Adoption Event.

It's from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will shine the spotlight on their senior pets who are patiently waiting for loving homes. Adoption fees will be reduced to just $50 in honor of Veterans Day.

Then, the Fall Community Day will be from noon until 3 p.m.

"It's just a community appreciation day where you can come up without an appointment. You can meet our team, make a donation, do a basket raffle," said Jane MacMurchy, with Animal Charity.

There will also be hot dogs and hamburgers.

Both events happen at Animal Charity of Ohio at 8469 Southern Boulevard in Boardman.
