WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) - In Trumbull County, an effort is underway to help people who rely on government assistance.
Two women are delivering food to help those in need in Warren.
Rebecca Knox and Sara Kurtz started their organization "Stock The Block" two weeks ago.
They collect donations and deliver them to the local "blessing boxes."
With SNAP benefits gone, they say food insecurity is a really big issue.
"We will get it done. Food insecurity in Warren City is a real thing," said Rebbeca Knox, Stock the Block co-founder. "People think, 'oh, well, that's it happens in other cities. It doesn't--it's not a real big problem here.' It's a real problem here."
