GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Greensboro's Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted its seventh annual Veterans Parade Saturday afternoon.

The parade began right at noon, starting at the intersection of North Elm Street and East Lindsay Street.

This year's parade honored local Purple Heart recipients as well as veterans from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Gold Star and Prisoners of War/Missing in Action families were also acknowledged.

The parade also featured local high school marching bands, JROTC units, and various clubs, organizations and businesses.
