HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Five Connecticut residents are facing charges following a operation led by police in Hartford on Thursday.
Hartford officers made a targeted operation in a known “hot spot” for narcotics activity in the area of Taylor Drive.
Then, detectives received credible information that a person was illegally carrying a firearm.
Police were able to find the suspect during their operation and placed him under arrest.
On scene officers seized a Glock 9mm handgun with an obliterated serial number, a high-capacity magazine containing 19 live rounds, 25 bags of fentanyl and an unknown number of grams of crack cocaine.
Officials confirmed the arrests of five people and they were all identified by police:
18-year-old Jose Correa of Hartford
31-year-old Brandon Santiago of Man
