A family pet remains unaccounted for after a fire broke out Wednesday morning at a Bushkill Township home.
Township Police Captain Scott Dempsey told lehighvalleylive.com that flames ignited shortly before 8 a.m. at the Cape Cod-style home in the 200 block of East Moorestown Road.
Crews battled smoke coming from the eaves of the roof area, Dempsey said.
No one was home at the time the blaze broke out. However, a cat was reported missing by the homeowners and had not been found as of Wednesday, Dempsey said.
There were no reported injuries.
It’s unclear how long it took firefighters to get the fire under control. Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Co. Chief Paul Pysher couldn’t immediately be reached for more details Thursday afternoon.
