Michigan is in for both sunshine and rain this week — and some areas near Ohio and Indiana getting hit with a rain-snow mix.

Northern Michigan and the UP will start the week with sunshine — and cooler temperatures — before rain moves in by Nov. 20.

"Mostly clear skies and afternoon high temperatures in the 40s for Tuesday (Nov. 18) and Wednesday (Nov. 19). Precip chances return for the later part of the work week," the National Weather Service in Gaylord said on X on Nov. 17.

"Expect mostly sunny conditions for the first half of the week, with lake effect snow ending over the east today into tonight. Rain looks to move into the area by Thursday," the NWS in Marquette said on X on Nov. 17.

Detroit, Lansing and Grand Rapids, meanwhile, are expected to see snow early on Tuesday, Nov. 18,
