HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A rainy week is expected to develop over the region this week, thanks to a tight temperature gradient that will be overhead. Rain showers will begin tomorrow, with even a few rumbles of thunder as a possibility during the afternoon and evening.
Much of the activity is expected to be in southern Ohio during the morning, reaching everyone in the afternoon. High pressure will take over by Wednesday and Thursday before another area of low pressure works in for Friday, driving in a similar pattern over the region.
A sudden stratospheric warming event will take place next week. What does this mean? Disruption of the polar vortex, or cold air migrating southward.
