ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — Pedro Aparicio, a 23-year-old federal firefighter, hasn’t been seen since Sunday night.
According to Tim Welsh, President of Tidewater Federal Firefighters IAFF Local F-25, Aparicio was supposed to report for duty on Tuesday but never showed up — something completely out of character for him.
His phone has been off since Monday night, and he has not been in contact with his family, coworkers, or friends.
Aparicio was last seen around 9 p.m. on Monday, November 17, on Horseshoe Road in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5'4" tall, weighing about 150 pounds. Deputies have not released information about what he may have been wearing at the time.
Kimmy Prado is also a firefighter, and normally works the same shift as Aparicio.
