AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police say two people are in custody after a police chase in Potter County today.

Amarillo police say they received a call about someone trying to cash a fraudulent check at the Amarillo National Bank on Tascosa Road.

Officers responded and pulled the car over. Police say officers noticed a gun in the car, and that’s when the suspects drove away.

A pursuit began and ended near I-40 and Climer when the suspects got out of the car and ran away.

Officers caught them and took them into custody.

Their identities have not been released at this time.
