LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WIS)- The South Carolina Department of Transportation says that it will close a Lexington County bridge starting next week.

SCDOT said the Cedar Creek Road bridge will close Dec. 1 for repairs. The agency noted that Cedar Creek Road will remain open to local traffic, except at the bridge site.

Officials also shared a map of the detour, which can be viewed below.

SCDOT is asking drivers to slow down and pay attention to road signs and crews when driving in the area.

The road is expected to reopen on Dec. 19.
