BUTLER TWP. — Butler Township police obtained an arrest warrant charging Roan Feliz, 36, on allegations he initiated a pursuit through several municipalities and managed to evade capture after a crash on Nov. 19.

A Butler Township police officer patrolling the 100 block of South Hunter Highway attempted to stop a BMW for having a suspended registration.

As the officer got behind the BMW at a traffic light, the driver identified as Feliz accelerated at a high rate of speed and turned into oncoming lanes to pass vehicles before turning onto the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80, police allege.

Police allege Feliz turned onto an exit at White Haven and lost control crashing into a concrete barrier near Church Street.
